The heavy duty entrance matting is designed for application in heavy-traffic pedestrian walkways or recessed mat wells. As such, is does not feature any additional edging. If you opt to lay the mat loose, the edge of your mat could pose a trip hazard. We recommend fitting the non-slip edging strip around any exposed edges to reduce these risks.
This option is not necessary when the matting is used in mat wells or if the edge of the mat is not exposed.
