The shaft and holster are made from extremely impact-resistant PP plastic.
To make it more portable, the craftsman's knife has a unique fixture for attaching the holster around a button on your work clothes. This prevents the knife coming loose, but makes it easy to remove when needed. The holster attaches both to a belt or a button.
