Decorating The Conference Room

A well-designed conference room should be both creative and functional, accommodating various personalities and facilitating presentations, discussions, meetings, and workshops. If you're uncertain about furnishing a conference room or large meeting space, interior design consultant Camilla Hassbjer shares her expert tips, covering everything from wall colours to selecting conference furniture.

The initial step in decorating a conference room involves conducting a thorough needs analysis. This includes determining the intended use of the room, the required seating capacity, available technology, and the most suitable furniture. Consider whether upholstered conference chairs prioritizing comfort are necessary, or if simpler, stackable meeting chairs would suffice. Alternatively, a combination of both may be appropriate.

Some businesses prefer a stationary meeting table, "others require the flexibility to convert the furniture into U-shaped seating or work in small groups. They can opt for a flexible solution with smaller tables that can be connected together" says Camilla, an interior design consultant and project manager specializing in business and public environments.
