These filing cabinets provide up to 90 minutes of fire protection for paper documents and 60 minutes for digital media, such as CDs, USBs and memory sticks (MTC-DIP120-60DM). They have also been fire and drop tested from 9.1 m to check resistance to the impact of falling through burning floors in a building. To safeguard the contents, you can choose from either a high quality key lock that operates independently on each drawer or a digital lock (requires 4 x AAA batteries) with a colour LCD, which can be programmed with codes of up to 16 digits, dual control, hidden code, scrambled code and an internal alarm.

Thanks to the width-adjustable rails, the drawers can take A4, A5 and foolscap files and each one is a fire-insulated unit, so even if one drawer is open the others remain fireproof. Should you be unlucky enough to have a fire in the office, the filing cabinets not only protect against the fire itself but also have water-resistant seals to prevent water damage if sprinkler systems or fire hoses are used. The cabinets come with a lifetime after-the-fire replacement warranty.
