Split was created by AJ Product's in-house designer Elin Basander André and is a cost-effective solution that provides privacy while also absorbing some of the noise in the room. A sustainable acoustic solution for the modern office

Split has been developed with the environment in mind, in close collaboration with local suppliers. This helps reduce transport distances and emissions, while also giving us greater control over the materials used.
"We have experimented with materials and thickness to use as little raw material as possible in order to minimise the environmental impact. The materials we have chosen are PET felt, which has a low environmental impact, in combination with tubular steel frames that will last a long time", says Elin.

A flexible acoustic screen solution for the modern workplace

Thanks to its light weight, the Split series is ideal for today's office environment, as the screens are easy to move around when necessary. The standing desk screen is perfect for placing on a conference or lunchroom table to create temporary workplaces and private spheres, making it perfect in activity-based flexible offices as well as schools.

Available in four colours and four configurations, each Split screen offers unique features to help you personalise your office layout. "The needle punched felt gives the screens a simple but warm look while the grid pattern in the felt creates structure. We have chosen greyscale colours that suit most styles and added a warm green tone that fits well in offices with lots of plants. As an accent, we have chosen a wine-red tone that is nice to match with pink tones", Elin says.

4 versatile ways to use Split acoustic panels

Split has been designed to suit a wide range of workplace needs. With four flexible configurations, it’s easy to create the ideal acoustic setup for your office layout.
  1. On the wall: Wall-mounted acoustic panels help absorb sound and reduce echo, while also adding a warm, cosy feel to the room. Mix and match different colours and sizes to create a customised design feature that improves both acoustics and aesthetics.
  2. On the table: Desk standing screens are perfect for converting large tables into temporary workstations. These freestanding acoustic panels offer both visual privacy and noise reduction – ideal for multi-purpose spaces used for collaboration one moment and quiet work the next.
  3. On the desktop: Use acoustic desk screens on one, two or all three sides of a workstation to create private zones within an open-plan office. This setup is perfect for increasing focus while helping to reduce distractions and background noise.
