Happiness for people: For workplaces where people thrive

For us, Happiness at work begins with taking responsibility for everyone in and around our organisation. A sustainable workplace is a place where people feel safe, valued, and supported, with opportunities to grow and develop. That is why health, safety, and wellbeing are key priorities in everything we do.

We want to contribute to more sustainable workplaces and good working conditions throughout the value chain. In our own workplaces. In our own workplaces, we take a systematic approach to health and safety, with initiatives that support employee health and wellbeing. We also develop products and solutions that help create better working environments for our customers, while continuously improving our working practices to promote fair working conditions for our suppliers.

For example
  • We design ergonomic workstations that help prevent repetitive strain injuries
  • We develop active office solutions that encourage movement
  • We develop sound-absorbing solutions for better concentration in open-plan environments

The result is workplaces where people have more energy, feel more comfortable and maintain their wellbeing over time.
In our own workplaces, we invest for the long term in both the physical working environment and in training and internal programmes that give our employees new opportunities to grow within the company and strengthen their skills over time. Our employee surveys show high levels of engagement and pride, which is an important indication that our way of working contributes to an attractive and more sustainable workplace.

We also work actively to strengthen openness, dialogue and diversity across the organisation. Policies and working practices are regularly reviewed to ensure fair conditions, and we have clear guidelines in place to prevent discrimination and harassment. We continuously monitor goals and results related to engagement, leadership and the working environment and report on our progress in our sustainability report.
We recognise our responsibility to support good working conditions and reduce environmental impact throughout our supply chain.

To achieve this, we:
  • Strive to build long-term partnerships with our suppliers
  • Carry out initial visits and audits before approving new suppliers
  • Require suppliers to sign and follow our Supplier Code of Conduct, which is based on UN declarations and international guidelines
  • Conduct risk assessments of our suppliers
  • Carry out on-site audits of suppliers identified as higher risk

We continuously monitor how our suppliers meet our requirements. This includes indicators such as the percentage of suppliers who have signed our Code of Conduct, the number of risk assessments carried out, and audits conducted among higher-risk suppliers. Results and progress are reported in our sustainability report.

We also want to contribute to better living conditions beyond our own operations. That is why we support long-term initiatives focused on education, health and inclusion, with a particular emphasis on children and young people.
One example is Yennenga Progress, where we provide long-term support for education and school environments in Burkina Faso.
