Happiness at work is about creating lasting value through responsibility, transparency and integrity. As a family-owned company, we are able to take a long-term view in how we plan and operate. That's why sustainability is integrated into our strategy, governance, and the way we develop our business and products. By doing so, we aim to ensure that the decisions we make today contribute to a more sustainable future.
Sustainability in strategy and governance
We take a structured approach to sustainability, setting clear goals, monitoring progress and establishing robust processes so that sustainability becomes a natural part of how we operate.
We do this by:
- Integrating sustainability into the company's overall business strategy
- Aligning our governance and reporting processes with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) ahead of the 2027 requirements
- Carrying out risk assessments and working in line with ISO management system standards
- Using digital tools to collect and verify sustainability data
- Conducting double materiality assessments to understand which issues are most significant for the business and the environment
- Engaging regularly with stakeholders to better understand our environment
- Reporting transparently on our progress to keep stakeholders informed
Business ethics and accountability
AJ’s guiding principles and internal Code of Conduct serve as a guide for all employees. They help shape our corporate culture, which is built on our core values: responsive, committed, knowledgeable and genuine. All employees receive training in business ethics and anti-corruption in line with the Code of Conduct. We also assess and monitor potential risks associated with partners, suppliers and business transactions to ensure responsible practices across our operations.
Should any irregularities nevertheless arise, employees are encouraged to raise concerns with their line manager, HR or via our whistleblowing service, which is operated by an independent organisation.
Our code of conduct and associated policies
At AJ Produkter we want to be, act and be perceived as responsible. That is why our code of conduct and other governing documents are an important part of our work for more sustainable development. The code of conduct is based on our values and covers areas such as business ethics, work environment, climate and environment, and how we wish to engage in dialogue with our stakeholders.
